Think of a child, any child, looking down with hungry eyes at an empty plate. Unfortunately that happens, even in a wonderful community like Great Falls.
During the last half of August, from Monday August 15th to Friday, August 26th, we will be collecting for the Great Falls Community Food Bank. A collection barrel will be in our entryway for you to drop off your contributions.
Next time you go to the grocery store, think about adding a few extra items like a box or two of breakfast cereal, maybe peanut butter and jelly, or soups and stews. We are hoping to fill the collection barrel many times over, so please be generous to those that are having a hard time right now putting a meal on the table.
Need other ideas? How about mac & cheese, canned chicken and tuna, canned fruit and fruit cups, boxed juice and powdered drink mixes, pancake mix and syrup, granola bars or canned vegetables. Just think about the healthy foods that you would want to put on the table for your own family.
Sorry, but we are unable to accept homemade fresh foods or home canned items.
